StaffPro® Version 4 steps up to a whole new level for forecasting and scheduling staff.

Branch Universal Staffing: Configurable Forecasting and Scheduling

To better utilize staff in a changing environment, many institutions are trending towards universal staffing. StaffPro v4 recognizes this is a gradual evolution and a set of practices, not an on/off switch.

StaffPro provides a layered solution to a complex problem. The features have been carefully designed so that institutions can keep it simple with minimum implementation and maintenance, up to creating a sophisticated matrix of preferences. Various levels of forecasting and scheduling can be applied differently at each branch. A small rural branch with all full time staff in traditional roles can stay that way, but the branch of the future in an urban business center can apply weighted preferences across multiple services and work types.

  • Define multiple types of work (Teller, CSR, Universal, Manager, etc.) and specify if and how each should be counted against the forecast.
  • Unlimited forecasting formulas organized into "packages" to cover one or multiple services. Each branch is assigned a package, so one branch might forecast and schedule only teller while another includes teller, platform and loans.
  • Define which service (teller, platform, loans, etc.) should be scheduled first. As employees are scheduled for a certain kind of work in a specific hour they are no longer available for other services, so the order in which services are scheduled is important.
  • StaffPro v4 lets you assign and prioritize multiple work types at the service level. That means, for example, that the when scheduling new accounts the system will first schedule employees whose primary work type is for new accounts, then move on to other work categories that can perform the work.
  • Multiple, prioritized work types can be assigned to employees to define not only what functions they can perform, but control the order in which they are scheduled for different work categories.
  • StaffPro still includes transaction activity when considering which employee to schedule. The algorithm ranks each employee by relative activity and work priority, then schedules in order.

Instant Staffing Chart

Easy to access and understandable feedback is an important part of productivity improvement. The new Staffing Chart lets supervisors and management quickly see a comparative chart of Actual versus Recommended versus Baseline staff usage by hour.

Cash Management and Ordering

StaffPro now includes full support for branch cash management and ordering. The feature can be used for creating cash orders even without an interface to provide daily denomination detail, but provides forecasting and history when a denomination interface is implemented.

  • Calculate target cash levels by branch.
  • Define recurring scheduled orders and adjustments by branch.
  • Forecast Buy/Sell by denomination. Calculates several control trends for recent activity plus the slope of cash usage by denomination. Integrates the Target Cash calculation to influence the order.
  • Support for multiple currencies including defining denominations and strap counts.
  • Branch cash feature shows total cash by date and a graph of the last 21 days activity for any denomination.
  • Hooks are provided to support an automated ordering interface to armored car services.

Improved, redesigned reports

StaffPro's reporting engine has been changed to use Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, and all reports have been redesigned. The new look provides improved display of report group levels along with a more modern look and feel. Requesting a report uses the same powerful and simple-to-learn user interface that existing StaffPro users have appreciated for years.

Along with many other smaller enhancements, StaffPro v4 is a major upgrade at the same affordable subscription and implementation cost. See for yourself with a FREE, no strings attached, 60-day trial of StaffPro.
